Q. What is ePolicy Delivery?
A. ePolicy Delivery allows customers to receive their life insurance policy electronically via eService, and sign outstanding documents electronically, if applicable.
Q. I am having trouble logging into the eService website, what should I do?
A. Verify the information entered is correct and matches the information on the application. The Policy Owner’s last name, the Insured’s date of birth and the Policy Owner’s zip entered on the initial log in must match the information on the application. If there is still a problem please call 1-800-280-2011.
Q. I am having trouble creating a password, what should I do?
A. Ensure that you have met all password requirements. There are three password requirements: The password must be between 8 and 20 characters, there must be at least one number in the password and that number cannot be the first or last character. On the right hand of the password creation screen there will be a section called Password Requirements, when all three requirements have been met there will be three green checkmarks.
Q. What am I agreeing to on the ePolicy Delivery Consent Screen?
A. You are authorizing American General Life Companies to provide the policy to you electronically. After agreeing to this consent you will be able to view your policy.
Q. I am eSigning my delivery requirements, what is the difference between cancel eSign and Decline eSign?
A. Cancel allows you to cancel your session and return later. Decline says you do not want to eSign, your policy will be viewable for you to print and sign.
Q. In the eSignature process what do the different symbols mean next to the form names in the left pane (in the answer use a copy of the actual symbol used)?
A. The
indicates that the signature on that form has not yet been completed. The
indicates that form is currently being viewed, but has not been signed. The
indicates that the form has been signed.
Q. On the General Questions in the eSignature process, what if the question asked does not pertain to me?
A. These questions can be changed by clicking on the double green arrows next to the question.
Q. I am in eSignature but unable to click on review and print?
A. The review and print link will be enabled after all forms have been electronically signed. To view an unsigned version of the forms click on Preview Document in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
Q. In the eSignature, what is the difference between "Save" and "Submit" on the final screen?
A. Click "Save" to save a copy of the signed forms somewhere on your computer. After the forms have been saved, click "Submit" to send all of the signed forms to American General Life Companies. The "Submit" button must be clicked to complete the electronic signature process.
Q. Where is my ePolicy stored in eService website?
A. If there are additional forms that need to be electronically signed (Ex. an Amendment) then the policy can be viewed by clicking on the Policy Number. After all forms have been completed and the policy is placed inforce, the policy packet can be found under the documents section on the summary page of the policy.
